Jim Thornton, the longtime announcer for the popular game show “Wheel of Fortune,” has reportedly been suspended following allegations of accessing a disturbing online chatroom. The claims surfaced after an American Airlines passenger reported seeing Thornton's laptop displaying content that appeared to be from a pedophilia-related chatroom.
Details of the incident, first reported by TMZ, suggest the passenger observed "images and texts" on Thornton's device that indicated the nature of the online space. The specific circumstances leading to Thornton's alleged access and the duration of his suspension have not been fully disclosed by the show's producers.
