Vancouver and Hamptons Film Festivals Announce Audience Award Winners

The Vancouver International Film Festival (VIFF) and the Hamptons International Film Festival have concluded their latest editions, with audience-voted awards recognizing standout films. At VIFF, Peter Farrelly's "I Play Rocky," a film chronicling the creation of the iconic "Rocky" movie, secured the Audience Award in the Galas & Special Presentations category. This award highlights films that resonated most strongly with festival attendees from a selection of 10 audience favorites.

Similarly, the 34th Hamptons International Film Festival celebrated "Elsinore" and "La Bola Negra" among its award recipients. "La Bola Negra" was honored with the Best Narrative Feature award, as chosen by the festival's audience from over 140 features and shorts screened across 205 showings. These accolades underscore the importance of audience reception in shaping the recognition of films within the festival circuit.
