Manchester United Suffers Cup Exit After Brighton Mounts Stunning Comeback

Manchester United has been eliminated from the Carabao Cup following a dramatic 3-2 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion at Old Trafford. The Red Devils squandered a two-goal lead, with goals from Shea Lacey and Mason Mount giving them an early advantage. However, Brighton staged a remarkable comeback, netting three unanswered goals to secure their place in the next round.

The loss marks a significant blow for Manchester United, extending a difficult period that also saw them lose the Manchester derby and face player transfer speculation. Manager Michael Carrick acknowledged the unacceptable nature of the collapse and stressed the need for the team to find answers ahead of their upcoming fixture against Fulham.
