Manchester United Secures £65m Deal for Brighton's Carlos Baleba

Manchester United has reached an agreement in principle with Brighton & Hove Albion for the transfer of midfielder Carlos Baleba, with the initial fee set at £65 million. The 22-year-old is expected to undergo his medical this weekend in Manchester, potentially becoming the club's most expensive summer acquisition.

Baleba's arrival would mark Manchester United's third midfield signing of the transfer window, joining previously acquired players Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos. The club is reportedly looking to strengthen its midfield options significantly under manager Michael Carrick, with Baleba, described as a No. 6, expected to add a defensive midfield presence alongside the more attacking Tielemans and fellow holding player Santos.
