Skye Blakely Claims World All-Around Gymnastics Title in Rotterdam Comeback

American gymnast Skye Blakely has won the women's all-around gold medal at the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Rotterdam. The 21-year-old secured her first individual world title with a score of 55.733 across the four apparatus, finishing ahead of Russia's Liudmila Roshchina and China's Ke Qinqin.

Blakely's victory marks a significant breakthrough after her previous Olympic aspirations were hampered by injuries, including a ruptured Achilles tendon that nearly kept her out of the 2024 Olympic trials. Her win is the first individual world title for an American gymnast since Simone Biles three years ago and adds to her previous team gold medals from 2022 and 2023. The competition also saw Great Britain's Joe Fraser secure a bronze medal in the men's all-around final.
