Daryz Secures Historic Back-to-Back Arc de Triomphe Victories

Daryz has etched his name in racing history by clinching a second consecutive Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe title at Longchamp. The four-year-old colt, ridden by Mickaël Barzalona, repeated his triumphant performance from the previous year, becoming only the ninth horse to achieve this rare feat in Europe's most prestigious flat race.

Daryz's victory was hard-fought, with the horse making his decisive move in the final furlong to overtake the leading Bay City Roller. While the win solidifies Daryz's reputation, his owner, Princess Zahra Aga Khan, indicated that a third attempt at the Arc is unlikely, with the horse's future potentially involving breeding rather than further racing to avoid unnecessary risks.
