Sarah Macdonald Reinstated at ABC Radio After 2024 Dismissal

ABC Radio has reversed its decision to dismiss presenter Sarah Macdonald, announcing her return to the Sydney local radio schedule. Macdonald will take over the afternoons slot, replacing the late James Valentine, beginning in March.

The reinstatement comes two years after Macdonald's "shock axing" in 2024. At the time of her dismissal, ABC director of audio Ben Latimer removed Macdonald without providing an explanation. Latimer, who is still in his role, made the announcement of her return.
